Biography

Johannes Thürauf is a postdoctoral researcher at Trier University since 11/2021. He studied Mathematics at the Friedrich-Alexander Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg and received his M.Sc. degree in 05/2017. Afterward, he worked as a PhD student at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and got his PhD at the end of 2021. His research topics include bilevel optimization and optimization under uncertainty with focus on network optimization problems.

March 14, 2022: I feel very honored that today we received the MMOR Best Paper Award 2021 for our paper A bilevel optimization approach to decide the feasibility of bookings in the European gas market in the journal Mathematical Methods of Operations Research. I thank the entire editorial board for this award. Moreover, I am extremely grateful to be able to work with such great co-authors Fränk Plein, Martine Labbé, and Martin Schmidt.
